Gift for someone special

“Creative work needs solitude. It needs concentration, without interruptions. It needs the whole sky to fly in, and no eye watching until it comes to that certainty which it aspires to, but does not necessarily have at once. Privacy, then. A place apart — to pace, to chew pencils, to scribble and erase and scribble again.”

Crochet commission project

The shawl has made a huge comeback in fashion, worn both traditionally and “backwards” as a triangular scarf. There are many gorgeous patterns out now…and so many of them look like they’d take ages to make! While the end result is no doubt worth it, great for gift giving, and perfect when you want something special to wear' but don’t have a lot of time to prepare!

Repurposing old T-shirt

What to do with your old clothes when they no longer fit ?
Sometimes they are favorites that we can't bear to let go.

Maybe it's the fabric we like, or maybe the clothes have particular memories.

This T-shirt i bought on one of my trips to Singapore, couldn't let it go in the bin.

I have used my old T-shirt like this to make new dress -
upcycling it into something different that can be used and the memories of the pretty fabric kept.

I've seen lots of ideas scattered here and here around the internet, but have used my own process to upcycle it

So here's the idea.
Removed the side stitching of T-shirt till the waistline

stitched a rectangular piece of fabric at the waistline
